Dreamworks' response to Lilo & Stitch.

    🍿FILM GRADE: B-

Home is a cute, charming film that certainly has its moments, but it also feels like a missed opportunity for DreamWorks to really push the boundaries of animated storytelling. The movie centers on the Boov, an alien species that attempts to take over Earth, and follows the unlikely friendship between Oh, a quirky and lovable Boov, and Tip, a strong-willed young girl voiced by Rihanna.

Jim Parsons voices Oh, and let me…

Illiteracy is not a joke Jim, 21% of Americans suffer every year.

    👍FILM GRADE: B

This movie is just adorable. Winnie the Pooh is short and sweet—definitely made for kids, but as a first-grade teacher, I couldn’t help but see how perfect it is for that age group. The film naturally weaves in educational moments related to ELA concepts like spelling, writing, suffixes, and homophones, which made my teacher brain light up. This time around, his storytelling has more heart, depth, and emotional weight—something his first film completely lacked. While A Real Pain still has its flaws, it proves Eisenberg is growing as a filmmaker and storyteller.

The film follows cousins David (Eisenberg) and Benji (Kieran Culkin) as…

The upcoming season of Black Mirror has some heavy competition.

    ⭐FILM GRADE: A-

Companion is the kind of thriller that hooks you early and never lets go. It’s sharp, suspenseful, and eerily reminiscent of Black Mirror—which, as a fan of that series, I mean as a high compliment. While it’s not a full-fledged horror film (so don’t expect jump scares), it delivers a chilling, violent edge that keeps the tension thick from start to finish.

At its core, Companion is more…
