The Holdovers 2023
A very well made, feel-good holiday movie about how the season can bring feelings of grief, resentment, abandonment, and loneliness to the forefront, but by opening ourselves up to love, laughter, and community, it can be easy to find the joy that is so often associated with Christmas time. I genuinely enjoyed this more than I thought I was going to, and I'm so glad that I was finally able to give it a watch.

once again we have one of my top five halloween movies. it’s so easy for me to agree that this is a classic horror film—it’s as equal parts scary as it is funny, and it never gets old no matter how many times you watch it. the plot is great, there’s an incredible cast of characters, and the script is so witty in how it toys with and references classic tropes in other horror films. it’s definitely a must watch whenever spooky season rolls around!
