When I visited Auschwitz, I remember being struck by how beautiful a day it was in contrast to the horror of what I was there to see. That’s always stuck with me and this movie somehow captured that.
Perhaps the best movie on the banality of evil I’ve seen. The atrocities are only on the periphery and never explicitly seen and when discussed they are discussed as purely logistics. Very effective use of sound to unsettle you as well
