I think I like this more than sorcerer. Sorcerer tries to fill in some gaps that this film has, but that doesn’t necessarily make that one a better film. This one is pure anxiety, terror, and existential dread. Funny that the dvd menu has a little guitar number, but I don’t think this film has any score whatsoever. Obviously the Tangerine Dream soundtrack in Sorcerer is great, but the old adage “less is more” rings true here. True to my name, I know damn well I’d be most like Jo. A real chickenshit who gets his leg mangled in the end.
