put me in jail for liking this type of movies and being a walking red flag.

    "crack is wack."

there's definitely something to be said about this weird type of early 2000's, dark coming-of-age, dirty y2k movies that somehow feel so dumb and campy at first and end up being an emotional rollercoaster, with endings too dark to imagine.

i don't know when i started to like this very specific subgenre of movies where whether you're watching them in 1080p…

scary, creepy, but also beautiful and nostalgic (for me).

"you look great with that tape in your mouth."

listen, i'm not a christian, not anymore, but something about this felt like home. i was indoctrinated for 16 years of my life, and it was very harmful for my identity and mental health, but i can't help to feel nostalgic about going to those camps, they were fundamentally, my whole life.

"so i ran, and i left someone i really loved behind."

the fact that hunter schafer wrote this episode, makes it even better.

"some of the most profound relationships i've ever had, have been with people i've never met."

during a therapy session, jules stars talking about her insecurities and nightmares in a very relatable and delicate way, i loved it! there are also scenes from season one without those filters and effects, and that definitely makes us understand how…

    girlboss shit.

"why is a woman's virginity the only thing that matters?"

i guess we all see how similar this is to lady bird, it's almost the same. easy to watch, short and with a great story. it's really cool to watch a movie that genuinely makes you smile. it explores what it wants to in the most effective and fun way possible. a critique to social expectations towards women, family dynamics, the female body, patriarchy... anyways, fucking banger. fat rolls are hot, skinny is hot, women are hot and every woman is a real woman.

"there's more to me than what's in between my legs."
