West Side Story 2021
I guess I just love musicals! This was so well done, with a 60s feel done in a modern way. The song and dance is electrifying. My only complaint is the choice for Tony. I feel he needs to be a bad boy reformed with a good side, but Ansel Elgort does not have the tough, bad boy act or persona for me.

Just not my kind of movie, but I hung in to the end. I get that it's fantasy, but some of it was just a bit silly, and I couldn't figure out how I was supposed to feel. I wasn't digging the over use of green filter - I guess to feel like the 1960s? I wondered what all the hype about this movie was, and I'm still wondering...

I found this fascinating and would have found it too unbelievably neat if it weren't based on a true story. Telling a "privileged" white family's unthinkable experience in this catastrophe shows how nature doesn't discriminate.
