Road House 2024
Judged this movie not for the sake of comparison to the original (never saw it), nor for its merits as a film, but based solely on its ability to represent the Keys accurately, as a lifelong South Florida resident. And I have to say, aesthetically, they nailed it! Really captured the vibe of a keys tiki bar. Jake Gyllenhaal should’ve been wearing more shorts

Spaceman 2024
Okay so maybe some of the sentimentality doesn’t come across, and the philosophy is a little muddled, but it’s got a good heart and any movie with a benevolent telepathic giant spider who loves Nutella and is voiced by Paul Dano is at least worth a watch. Plus I love the post-Soviet retrofuturist Czechia aesthetic, which is not something you can say for many movies either!

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring 2001
I didn’t watch this movie when I was a kid because I resented it for not having enough girls and being a “boy movie”. As it turns out, I was missing out on a hell of a lot of beautiful homoerotic subtext. Also, great canonically autumn movie! Lots of cozy textures and warm tones. Hobbitcore fall!
