Although it’s not exactly one of Wes Anderson’s best films, it’s still a good film with Alexandre Desplat’s incredible score, amazing production design, and great performances especially from Benicio Del Toro, Adrien Brody, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Bill Murray, and Owen Wilson. Other actors are basically in and out because they don’t really mean anything special. I find it crazy that this movie as well as Dune came out on the same day and they both have Chalamet in those two films.

Moonrise Kingdom 2012
I don’t know how long it’s been since I’ve seen this, but Moonrise Kingdom is actually my favorite Wes Anderson film of all time. They explored themes of young love, child sexuality, juvenile mental health, and…

La La Land 2016
Besides seeing clips of it, I don’t know why it took me so long to watch it, but this is surprisingly the very first time that I saw La La Land given the great word of mouth for this movie! Since I’m a big musical guy, this is hands down the best original musical I’ve ever seen and definitely one of the best films of 2016! Fresh off the success of Whiplash, Damien Chazzelle did a fantastic job directing as…

Leaving Las Vegas 1995
This is phenomenal! Nicolas Cage who won an Oscar for Best Actor and Elisabeth Shue who was nominated for Best Actress have great chemistry, the tone is very unsettling in a magnificent way, the themes of alcoholism and suicide were taken seriously and handled very well, and Mike Figgis did a terrific job with the script and direction. I’ve also seen clips of it from the music video of Master of Puppets by Metallica and even I knew how unpleasant it is for Cage’s character to drink so much even while drunk driving and how much he would purchase expensive alcohol beverages at a store.
