The Brutalist 2024
Holy shit, give Adrien Brody his Oscar right now. But in all seriousness, this movie drug me through every emotion a person could possibly experience. I was SO impressed by the quality of the story, depth of the characters, the absolutely beautiful cinematography, and the pacing of a very long film (in such a way that it felt short). This film is quite dire and may be a hard rewatch, but I think it’s one that needs multiple watches to pick up all the nuance. I’m not one for reviews in general, but this one is as compelling enough to leave one.

One of the most actually disturbing films I’ve ever watched, I felt ill at a couple points. Maybe I’ll think this was great in a month, but right now I’m just trying to get over the trauma of experiencing this film 😭
