The scene where Elphaba dances and everyone just looks at her weird and then Glinda joins her? Yeah freaking sobbed. Also defying gravity changed my life. An absolutely stunning, heart touching musical. Seeing the connection grow between these two women was so powerful and important to show how truly valuable it is to have female friendships.

This movie definitely isn’t for everyone, that being said I loved it and if you’re into gothic horror you will love it too.
It’s a visual masterpiece, the dark, contrasty imagery builds the eerie atmosphere that devours you and the music is just as haunting. I’m not going to get into all the performances individually, it was incredible across the board. The casting couldn’t have been better.
