Never thought I would hear “People Get Up And Drive Your Funky Soul” in a film since the iconic scene in Spider-Man 3, but Zoe Kravitz uses it here to great effect. A very solid and enjoyable directional debut.

The Marvels 2023
Iman Vellani is easily the highlight of this film (I love her so much). She carries over her enthusiasm and charisma from the Ms. Marvel Disney+ series and it breathes life into this rather dull film. There are a few enjoyable moments, but most of the film is mediocre to bad. Not even the mid credit scene got me excited; although I must admit that it was spoiled for me online.

I didn't expect much from Don't Worry Darling after seeing the initial reviews and the clips criticising Harry Styles's acting. I enjoyed the trailers and found its premise intriguing, which led me to think that the film would be a somewhat entertaining and gripping mystery.
That was a mistake.
Don't Worry Darling is painfully boring. The plot failed to give me something to grasp onto, something to relate to, no matter how hard I tried to find it.
