    A movie that feels like it’s giving your life force a recharge. How Pete Docter can build worlds that feel limitless in scope and scale, stretching as far the imagination will take them, but succinct and carefully crafted in function is beyond me.

    A movie clearly set in post-9/11 New York that has none of the hallmarks of reactionary, panic-ridden post-9/11 cinema. C’mon, this is a good time. Spike’s pretty upfront about establishing this as a bloodless, fairly low-stakes (action?) heist thriller, so then he just uses his A-list cast and studio budget to make a slick, clever popcorn movie, prone to deviation and silliness.

    Also, maybe the only movie ever where a main character coughs *multiple times* but the movie never acknowledges…
