I think I would have liked this way more if I had seen it when I was in my late 20s but as it stands I saw it once when I was 16 and once at nearly 40. Having no patience at 16 hurt my first watch, but having modern sensibilities hurt this watch. I guess what I'm saying is this film would have been better when David Cage didn't exist.

Aliens 1986
It's the Lost World of Alien. A really fun ride, but ultimately not quite the anxiety-driven horror-fest of the first. I could have used more slow suffering. Even so, the ending is crazy and I don't know how they did all that. I would watch a 3 hour documentary of the making of the film and probably enjoy it slightly more than the movie itself.

Writing a review of this feels weird so I'll be brief. This all felt like a very real portrayal of portions of life in Shanghai. The rapid industrialization and subsequent wealth disparity are fairly realized while still keeping the film grounded and human enough.
