I have never seen a beautiful southern belle like Mrs. Bartlow here in Virginia. I must be looking in the wrong places. Douglas Kirk killed it, I mean the dudes acting was like insane. Putting that scene where him and Georgia end things in my top five scenes of all time. I couldn’t find it in my heart to ever yell at a girl that beautiful, acting or not.

The Dutch language is so unserious. Sorry, but I won’t ever feel threatened by a Dutchman. Other than that, a pretty damn good movie. As it’s my field of study, I tend to be more inclined to enjoy WW2 propaganda pieces than most. Perhaps that’s why I enjoyed this movie so much, but I think it’s more likely that I just really like both Hitchcock and McCrea. They make propaganda slide down easy.
