Beautiful and unique style with top notch acting (lookin’ at you Bill Nighy) but the story just continued to move in circles and it felt like it was 4 hours long. At the end of the day, a great, unique take on a period piece but just long winded and repetitive.

I’m sure I’ll watch this film yearly for the rest of my life. I’ll be crucified for saying so, but this movie does what 2001 never did: get me to care. 2001 is without a doubt one of the most important contributions to sci-fi as we know it, BUT there isn’t an ounce of humanity in it and that makes it hard for me to invest. Interstellar keeps the existential questions of 2001 but also brings a visceral human link…

Great acting, as is to be expected. Didn’t have the classic depth of dialogue that you’ve come to expect from a Tarantino film. The last act felt true to form and was great. Still worth a watch.
