This films biggest strengths are its sense of community, and showcase of beauty with living this kind of lifestyle, all without over romanticising it, by showing the more tedious and difficult aspects like finding jobs to make a living from. The thing that holds it back though, is its emotion, which I think is due to a lot of the scenes being so short, they don’t give you enough to latch onto emotionally.

Should’ve given this one to Scorsese

A pretty average mobster rivalry film that has nothing to shout home about, although it does have some decent moments. De Niro playing two roles felt kinda pointless, but he’s great in both so you can’t really complain

My first David Lynch film, but not one I can say I particularly enjoyed. I was uncomfortable the majority of time, especially when Dennis hopper was involved. Don’t get me wrong, Dennis hopper was great, and I understand that the purpose of his character was to create discomfort, but at least use that discomfort to create something of interest instead of being weird and overly sexual just because.

Maybe I’ll like his other films more, but if they’re all like this I’m in no rush to watch any of them.

A biopic that relies on its visuals and Angelina Jolie performance to keep the audience entertained, and yet it still feels like a chore to get through at times. Overall, it shows me no deeper insight into the life of the real person than a quick google search would, and ends up just being a showcase of the lead role.
