Dune 2021
This isn’t a dead average movie - there were a lot of things I really liked, loved, and was even in awe of - it’s just that weighing up everything that resonated with me against how dull and stagnant I found the story kinda evens things out.
I think a lot of other people liked it so I guess it’s just not for me. I also guess it’s unrealistic to expect to enjoy EVERY movie as much as I do (present tense) Tooth Fairy [2010].

Slowly burns and epically climaxes as most 180-minute-runtime films do. There are a few moments of cinematic spectacle worth the price of admission alone, and it’s not that the story isn’t gripping, it’s just hard to follow.
One I didn’t super enjoy until I felt the satisfaction of finishing it I think.
