  yes, it's cute. yes, it's representation.

  BUT,

  Disney has a habit of making minorities main characters, and then turning them into anything but human and being like, "See, look how progressive we are," and then they discount the fact that the main character spent the entire film/short as not themselves.

  yes, I liked it because it's telling a coming out story, but I wish that Disney would stop being afraid of letting queer characters exist/actually say out loud that they're gay.
