    40 to go!

To mark 40 movies left to watch on my own, I decided to watch the oldest remaining movie on my list. Mr. Deeds Goes to Town is an enjoyable comedy with some great performances from its leads and supporting characters. Overall, this was an enjoyable movie and well worth a watch.

With that, I have 40 movies remaining to watch on my own.

The family-driven narrative, epic action scenes, perfect score and memorable dialogue make this one of the standout Best Picture winners. It is a movie that I…

    Wonder Woman 1984

    ★★

When there is any sequel to a superhero movie, you have to make comparisons to the first one. WW84 is clearly worse than its predecessor. Starting with what I liked about the movie, the dynamic between Steve and Diana is still strong and one of the best parts of the Wonder Woman movies. Beyond that though, the story felt all over the place with multiple plot threads taking the characters to Egypt, the White House and other places. In addition…
