All star cast, fantastic characters, elaborate plot twists, and somehow this all manages to feel like Clue in a movie. I LOVE IT

Third rewatch and this one only ever only grows on me.

Finishing this movie on my 21st birthday was profound tbh.
taking life for granted, love, seclusion, survival, determination, hope, and restoration. I would watch Tom Hank's character, Chuck Noland, live on this island for an eternity -- his ability to adapt and stay alive under the most dire circumstances was crafted so well for an ambitious and optimistic Fed-Ex manager just about to marry.

I love this movie and I'll be coming back to it each birthday. A sweet reminder of how precious life is.

    Reviews on Set #2

Finally rewatched this gut wrenching thriller and all I can say is that anticipation isn’t numbing enough.

This is a perfect trio of a cast—Sean Penn as the bereaved mobster, Tom Robbin as a trauma-induced father, and Kevin Bacon as the devoted astrayed detective. (Both Penn and Robbin won an Oscar in their category).

I love the gritty, bleak look of this movie. It enhances inner-city Boston and meshes these characters into a world of monotony and no-escape.

P.S. I shook Marcia Harden’s hand the other day.
