Gladiator II 2024
I liked it. As someone who loves history, this feels a lot like Rome at this point. One emperor literally had his monkey as consul. Still, no -10 IQ vitamin D deficient twinks ever came into power. But if you look at it one way, this is sort of like a ripple effect caused by Maximus’ presence in history, leading to the eventual liberation of Rome. Put that spin on it, this is actually a really sick movie! Otherwise, it just seems like a direct call-back to Gladiator, a bit lazy, a lot of the same lines were reused.

Barbarian 2022
This was a dog a** movie. I hated almost everything about it. The first half was a tired cliche, and near the second part we tried to salvage the decrepit dumpster fire into something decent with some irony and an exceptionally stupid man. This goes out the window as gratuitous horror tropes take over for the final portion accompanied by poorly written suspense. Characters just act stupid for the sake of moving the plot along.
