  Hate to say it but I felt almost nothing watching this. It was just totally flat emotionally. All this tension and doom and horniness that were supposed to be there were just not conveyed in any kind of impactful way. 

  And it makes it even more frustrating that it had moments of near-greatness. There were some really cool ideas that ended up every time amounting to nothing.

  I truly don’t know how Kenneth Anger makes me feel the way I do watching this. It might actually be black magic.

  The way he sews together these acts of ritualistic rebellion and deviance through homoeroticism, rock and roll, motorcycles and leather. Juxtaposed to the backdrop of 60’s America they feel so utterly evil.
