I’m a sucker for British WW2 propaganda films. I’m an even bigger sucker for James Mason putting on a terrible accent.

Not the greatest by any stretch of the imagination but it’ll do in the middle of a long marathon.

Three British spies and a French resistance fighter sneak into occupied France to gather information about the German forces for a planned invasion.

A British “is he crazy or not” thriller starring James Mason and Joyce Howard.

Notable for cinematographer Gunther Krampf who also worked on Nosferatu, Pandora’s Box, Hands of Orlac among others.

The film itself is pretty standard plot-wise, but it looks great. Recommended for James Mason enthusiasts, or for when you need a sub-80 minute foggy thriller to fill some time.

A pair of young teachers look into the disappearance of their friend in the Yorkshire Moors. They soon run across the man they suspect is the murderer, and have to sit out a storm with him.

Kind of a tepid British b-movie take on the Monkey’s Paw story.

I had no idea this film would be as entertaining as it is. With tongue firmly in cheek, Sly Stallone, Wesley Snipes, and Sandra Bullock go on a future dystopian romp.

You’ll know I’ve won the lottery when I build my time machine, go back in time with this screenplay, and make this film word for word in 1990 with Michael Dudikoff, Billy Blanks, Cynthia Rothrock, and Don The Dragon Wilson. I’m not sure that this film doesn’t actually exist, better check my Vinegar Syndrome collection.
