  For a directorial debut, this is absolutely staggering. There’s the occasional awkward shot or edit, but Baumgarten shows incredible promise here. The writing is the obvious focus of this film considering its subject matter and that’s where most of my issues lie unfortunately. Some scenes like the big reveal halfway through are astounding in part based on how they are shot but mostly how they are told and the way in which Baumgarten uses the titular disfluencies and other speech…
