  Finally reviewing this a year later. 

  Y’all really make me feel like a film bro the way I have to defend/explain this movie. Wonderful and funny and weird. Not giving Yorgos enough credit if you think the heavy handed-ness wasn’t intentional. 

  Only thing I didn’t like was Mark Ruffalo as a sexual being. He’s a sweet man and just likes kissing, probably. 

  No notes for Emma Stone. 

  One note for me: shut up.

  Let women live their lives! Cocaine Bear is a feminist hero. A perfect example of how the man will always try to take down a strong woman. Powerful depictions of motherhood. An allegory for the interconnectedness of the patriarchy and capitalism. Also lots of blood and guts.
