I finally watched Little Women which I can’t believe I was hesitant to see for so long. Without knowing much about the plot, I was expecting an antiquated film that I would find not relatable to present day struggles and more of a niche movie for literary nerds. I could not have been more wrong.

When I first saw the trailer, I didn’t want to see this movie. On the surface, it appeared a cliché about a woman chasing wealth and a man chasing sex to rebel against his family. The elements of a Russian oligarch and an escort added some complexity but it still felt overdone and predictable.
