such smart storytelling. I must have seen this film a hundred times when I was younger but it holds up nicely. still looks sooo good!?! the setups payoff without making you feel like it’s a set up

i get that this is perhaps leaning towards a faithful presentation of the director's own experiences but i do not feel that is compelling reason enough to center a feature film around an unlikeable main character bumbling around in fruitless side quests.
