    i did not really enjoy this at all

    there were so many scenes that were so long, so talky, and that provided such little substance. there wasn't really a shred of nuance to the big themes. the world was not built out in any substantive way; so many of the characters were one-dimensional and glossed over, and also there were so many characters?? i think part of this obviously comes with the translation — to write/direct a movie not in your native language will inevitably result in some growing pains. but yea no i was thoroughly disappointed

    this is like if marvel released the first iron man and then, five years later and with no movies in-between, released avengers: endgame.
