Manila in the Claws of Light 1975
broke my heart how close to home this film hit— was so bittersweet and refreshing (?) to see an accurate depiction of how the Philippines was in the 1970s and the turmoil that people were experiencing during those decades (and the issues in this film is still on par with modern day issues within the filipino diaspora).
