  Fairly generic action thriller that’s saved by Jack Quaid as the personality hire. Some gnarly kills and body mutilation but it was dragged down by pretty terrible MCU dialogue.

  A bunch of angry old men arguing in a locked room for 2 hours is not something I'd expect to be on par with Mean Girls levels of pettiness. Also knowing nothing about the papacy, it's really interesting to see how modern this tradition has become. Explaining vaping to a cardinal in the third century sounds like a very interesting conversation.

  Creeper, aww man. 

  I can’t describe how happy I am that this deviates from the book. Sure there are some things I wish they kept in (mostly about the philosophical implications of death and rebirth) but at least 18 actually gets to be a character. The dialogue was a little clunky and expositional at times and some of the ideas are a little underbaked, but it’s still very fun and silly. Pattinson kills it at voicework and Toni Collette is hysterical. Could be a fun double feature with Snowpiercer.
