Hatred is the whir of radio static overhead occupying the airwaves, the putrefied eye of the Eiffel Tower blinking into nonexistence when you face away, the clamor of a streetlight under the pale of the high-rises, the electric slice of a concrete flower in bloom in a world that doesn’t belong to you and perhaps never will. Heat diffusion is the fall, and the landing is the shattering of everything, a telomere shortened, those final sparks that disperse into particles of light, fuzzy, bleary, meaningless. And how this world flickers, set against the unfairness of it all.

hyperpolitical overture.
makes very interesting (and deliberate) stylistic choices. a hackneyed situation which would otherwise be exhausting isn’t when it’s presented with a fresh perspective. Squid Game is framed quite nicely and that keeps it interesting enough for me, despite being a composite of derivatives.there’s nothing to Squid Game’s content (writing). it’s all in expression (design, visual direction, acting, emotional delivery).
