Homophobic men are so terrible. They hate to see queer men being feminine, expressing themselves, and being intimate with other men. Queerness resists the violence and destruction of hetero-patriarchy and creates an alternative, so it must be destroyed. The queer subjects within the film face this violence even with the ending facing incarceration while the true people that commit violence go unpunished.
