Interstellar 2014
Watched Interstellar for the first time in its re-release and experiencing it on the imax big screen was something else. I’m not really a sci-fi person but I liked this one. Finally get the hype though I’ll need a second watch to take it all in. But that message scene Murphy growing up, Cooper just sitting there watching time slip away, his son dropping ‘I got married’ like it’s just another thing i don’t know why but that part really got to me. And by the time it all came full circle I just sat there for a bit🥺

Ponman 2025
Basil Joseph has a thing for these kinds of characters, and that’s what makes the film work. The lodge scene was straight-up lit easily the highlight of the whole movie. Kollam was shown in a way most movies don’t and the cinematography especially Mundrothuruthu was beautiful. But the whole dowry system angle didn’t really feel specific to Kollam it’s common everywhere in Kerala. Amban, Lijomol everyone did their part. An ok one-time watch

The film subtly breaks away from the idealized image of village life showing…
