Harlem Nights 1989
Such a fun movie! I wish I’d watched it sooner. Only 3 stars because I don’t think I’d watch it over and over again. It gave me a little anxiety but definitely a classic. The cast was star studded with infamous black comedians.

If I would have watched this with my adolescent brain I don’t know where I would be today. This movie is kin to the time. It’s very similar to a lot of movies of the 90’s/2000’s era meant to be scandalous. They loved to depict teens a sexual degenerate. It’s Ignores the concept of pedophilia and hyper sexualize a minority group. Seems like some white woman’s fan fiction. With my adult brain I hated. Nonetheless Anne Hathaway is an amazing actress even with this lack luster story.
