Tbh I enjoyed the first half. I think it had a pretty effective build up even if sometimes they just threw every Adobe After Effect on the screen.
The film, however, completely loses me when it leans into the nonsensical GenAI effects. There is almost a fine line where the inherent unnaturalness of AI can make something more unnerving but it comes off as lazy and uninspiring. It'll never not be shallow.
