Cinema. Sublime.
This film is gonna haunt me more with each viewing as I get older, huh?
*Just settin there last night furrowin my brow and shakin my head like Ed Tom, pondern the very nature of evil.*

“Fear makes others follow.”
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Dawn probably should have won Best Visual Effects over Interstellar. Nolan’s practical effects will always be favored over CGI, but I find the level of detail and realism attained here to be more impressive. The opening closeup of Caesar literally gave me chills. And less than 10 minutes later, I was damn near convinced that they taught an orangutan how to sign and shrug on command. Reeves also didn’t…
Oh don’t mind me, just stopping by on my way to see the new Batman movie…
Very impressed with a film that I thought would be a flyover watch to get to the Matt Reeves sequels. James Franco and CGI apes is not the combo I predicted to have me tearing up on my couch while sipping a non-alcoholic IPA, but here we are.
The fact that the next two are supposedly even better has me pumped.
