  When I was like 7 I watched the woman get stung to death by the jellyfish and I always wanted to know what movie it was. Too bad it's a bad movie.

  A grounded story with fantastical moments, though these don't always feel cohesive. The writer/directer was clearly inspired by movies in a similar style which came before, but did put their own spin on it in this film. I think this is the director's first film, and while quite solid, I didn't resonate with a lot of the blocking and scene/camera choices.   This is a mess from start to finish. The most egregious aspect is the implication that anyone actually cares about crosswords.
