  biggest pet peeve is when people say animated films are for children. fuck that. the amount of creativity and individuality this films brings forth is fantastic. so clever and funny and witty. emotionally gut wrenching. animation is one of the highest art forms with very little to hold it back. it can be anything it wants to be. describing how sometimes sadness is essential to moving on and accepting hardships = chefs kiss. plus having leslie knope voice joy is GENIUS. score is amazing too which is not surprising from micheal. what a great film.

  for a film with a very difficult subject matter, i seem to watch so often. its just so satisfying to watch. every scene has a purpose. script is brilliant, i read it all the time. its not flashy or cliche. acting is subdued and real. there no faffing around, its all about the victims and their story being told. it doesnt pull any punches. it says heres what happened, watch it, care about it. plus the actual reporters requested that…
