Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 2022
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This movie from suffered from needing to have a villain. I know it is a Marvel movie, but they set everything up to be decent plot about loss. The characters were decently fleshed out and shuri had some pretty strong moments.
But no they had to go with the revenge/ redemption arc. Two underdogs eating each other while America runs away with the spoils. They made some interesting statements but they didn't act on it either.

I saw this movie in the cinema with my girlfriend. She is an photographer and she wasn't impressed with the scenography and the simbolism. The scenography was fairly standard and not really new. The symbolism was often a bit too on the nose.
While I agree with her opinion, this movie had me crying for at least 3/4 of the movie. The lack of intimacy, the rigid gender norms and the toxic masculinity adressed in this movie hit home too…
