I’ll give it 3.5/5 stars. The film is built around a timeless plot we’ve seen boundlessly reinvented - star crossed lovers escaping through the road (or, in this case, the Mediterranean) to find the central truths of themselves. Deborah Kerr’s performance eclipses everyone in this film with her full use of micro expressions giving a depth to her characterization.
