What an excellent film. Mary-Elizabeth Winstead is following on the footsteps of great action female stars. And this story, despite the jakuza stereotype gives it a good spin and inserts a redemption arc that stripped of all the violence and hitman narrative, treats the main characters as humans. Greed, deception, betrayal is part of our humanity but so is regret, hope, empathy and, ultimately, the motion that we can save and forgive ourselves through our actions , even if we have just one more day in this plane of existence.
