  I think this may end up being my favourite of the year. Both the cinematography and Emma Stone carry the film, along with Willem Defoe and Mark Ruffalos performances. I’m sure the longer I think about this film it will probably end up moving to 5 stars, perhaps purely from the line “she touched my hairy business!” 💀

  Visually stunning film and a cast that certainly didn’t disappoint. No one stood out because everyone was equally as brilliant (apart from Phil Wangs bizarre cameo, he is actually quite good at dancing on tables). Partly sad because it didn’t make me cry like Paddington 2 did and some of the songs were a little jarring at times. Having to listen to Timothée Chalamet sing “sorry noodle” to a forgettable tune multiple times had me embarrassed for him. I think that it will become another one of my “put a film on in the background while I get ready” films.
