There are some memorable scenes in this film : Rose storming the Bathouse or  signing with her pals at the drag club, and all those amazing concert scenes. Feels so different to the way they shot music biopics these days.

This film is so unsettling from the very first moment. Placing Priscilla’s youth front and centre, it makes the interactions with most of the adults around her so disturbing. “Why?” As her mother asks “is he not interested in girls
her own age”.
