Well. This is one of the best, most heart stopping films I’ve seen in a while. It’s from 1953 but it still holds up beautifully, never feels old or a bit silly or out of date or anything of the sort. At about 2 and half hours long, I wasn’t sure how well it would hold my attention.
The beginning does initially feel a bit too long, seems to take a while to really get going to the central plot…

My first time watching, this was on Universal Monsters Roku channel so it was the edited R rated version. I don’t know if that made a difference, but this film was just off, really not that good. I expected better. The blood and gore was quite good. But the rest of the film, not so much.
It starts out at least a little promising but falls quickly apart.

After being told by a few people “omg you need to see The Howling!” I finally watched it. And... I don’t get all the hype for it. The beginning was interesting (though I really hated that they had to keep showing glimpses of the video of a girl being assaulted in the porn store). Then honestly, the middle is an absolute snooze fest. I could barely pay attention, kept drifting in and out and didn’t miss much of anything crucial…

Ninja III: The Domination 1984
Well, this movie was crazy in the best possible way. The insanity starts pretty much immediately into one of the best opening action movie sequences ever, there are no dull moments in this film. It doesn’t waste time giving you a ton of history or explanation for why it’s all happening, just enough back story to keep you going. It’s always awesome to see a woman in a lead role kicking serious ass.
