listen. the upgrade from the first movie is very clear, there weren’t any points where i felt like i was watching a youtube movie instead of a real film, you know ? anyways, in this movie they’ve upped the humour and upped the supernaturalism and let’s just say i only appreciate one of them. there werent too many jokes that made it felt like a sharknado 4, 5 or 6, but a good few that made the audience chuckle. the supernatural situations did frankly let me down though, if you have to create a whole superhero to destroy your villain maybe you’ve gone too far.

i went into this movie practically blind and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome. some good jump scares and a moderate level of unpredictability means this movie was about a 6 on my spookometer, had i watched it at night i’m sure it would’ve gone up. biggest bechdel test fail i’ve witnessed in a while
