Mickey 17 2025
1 smol spoiler in the last sentence of this entry.
I enjoyed Mickey 17! It was not DEEP, maybe even like, tidepool shallow where there are spiny things inside that prick your feet and that is the message of the movie that is so unsubtle it makes you bleed, but it was fun, and laugh-out-loud funny at parts, and generally endearing.

Pather Panchali 1955

I will try to format this into a coherent review later but WOW

Supa Modo 2018
March Around the World 2024: 4/30 (Kenya)
Different vibe and not at all the same, but this gave me Lars and the Real Girl feels. Supa Modo beats the cynics with an over-the-top, comically heartwarming display of community. It's cute, and very much what it says on the tin.
While not unobjectionable, I didn't find very much remarkable about this, either. I know that there is an audience for films like this. Relatively shallow, vaguely uplifting, and somehow isn't bogged down by its sad subject matter. It's definitely a nice film, but that's about it.
The very last shot made me cry tho.
