  A totally serviceable ghost film that doesn’t lean into the dread or lore nearly as much as one would hope. Late capitalist realism with a dash of spooky. Oddly not enough of either vibe, so it leaves you feeling like somethings missing. But Soderbergh is a skilled workman, he milks his actors for every line read and cinematography is gorgeous. Just wanted a little more gothica?

  One of my favorite films of the year. Unexpectedly radical and esoteric! This film was so universally panned for being mealy-mouthed and “both-sidesy” about American politics. Needless to say, I did not find that to be the case! Kirsten Dunst is one of the best we got. Recalls the stark beauty of war-torn urbanity last seen in Children of Men, though certainly more sardonic.
