The Brutalist 2024
Amazing score and theme that immediately was stuck in my head. Cinematography has breathtaking visuals of driving in the countryside and the first arrival to America really puts you into the POV of the characters.
And then don’t even get me started on how good the colors look. There are scenes where the full sunset spectrum is visible and still get costrasty pure white and dark blacks. Cool interstellar effect when they’re on drugs. And the jazz scene was perfect.…

Movie hits different on Father’s Day.
The visual storytelling in this movie is off the charts. Especially what they do with Gwen’s “water color” universe. It has a ton of really cool metamodernism themes pulling from all art forms and critiquing how we view the movie itself. Parts of live action, different animation styles, constant changes that’s engaging but all within the relationship of the story.Takes itself seriously in moments and also knows that it’s a fun superhero movie.…
