  Generic found-footage torture porn. I can name at least 3 other movies I've seen that were exactly like this one. I almost had to laugh at how stupid the dialogue was and it's not even bad in a fun way. Torture methods and minor details may vary but this style of film is (usually) poorly acted, overdone, and consistently a waste of my time.

  I wanted to like this after enjoying Hill House but I'm just not a fan. Some not-so-great accent work, too many moving parts to form a cohesive story or form a real bond with any character (except for maybe Owen), many of the monologues and heart-to-hearts come across as pretentious. "Perfectly splendid" and "wake, walk, forget" really grated on me after hearing it the first three or so times. I know the plot is technically unrelated to Hill House but…
