Gladiator II 2024
Cool, had a lot of potential. Spent too much time devolving the wrong parts of the plot in this movie. Some things done too quickly, others parts had not enough time invested into it. Hard to beat Russel Crowe as a lead in the first one, Paul mescal did his best, but I’m afraid it wasn’t close. I didn’t really believe in him as anything he tried to be compared to his predecessor…I would fight in his army for Maximus. 3/5 and I was a bit biased towards it because I hold the first so close to my heart.

I love how the movie makes you ask questions the whole time (don’t ask them out loud, be respectful). It made me want to go help the detectives. You really feel the frustration, fear, and confusion. Steps up a level once you think about the whole timeline of this event. From the time of the murders to the making of the movie and finally showing the criminal the film… What a masterclass.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023
I’m a bit biased because Mario is a child hood favourite for me. Super funny movie, bowser and donkey kong carried the movie. I love how they went with Brooklyn plumber stories.
The animation was fantastic, there wasn’t anything wrong with the movie it just wasn’t fantastic.

Ah man, what a beautiful movie.
